Gallery Colours is proud to present PAUL KUBIC
Lorain, Ohio USA 23 May 1940
Paul Kubic was twice awarded the American Prix de Rome (1978 and 1979). He has anM.F.A from the Cranbrook Academy of Fine Art, after a B.A. at the Cleveland School of Art. In Rome he met his Dutch art-historian wife and since 1989 he lives and works in the Netherlands. He worked predominantly in bronze and welded steel, drawing and painting some on the side. After 2003, when he lost the sight in his right eye and he was no longer able to do the fine welding, he works in wood: layered, glued multiplex.
